Under the patronage of the esteemed President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabbar Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the esteemed Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Jawad Radif, a group of volunteers from the faculty members and students of the Computer Science Department organized a support campaign for children suffering from thalassemia in Diwaniyah. Gifts were distributed to the children, and an atmosphere of fun and joy was created for them in the Thalassemia Unit at the Hematology Hospital in Diwaniyah.

•A number of students from the Computer Science Department

Assistant Lecturer Maytham Hamza, the Computer Science Department’s rapporteur and the campaign’s coordinator, stated that the initiative aimed to provide psychological support to the children. Spending time with them and raising their awareness can encourage them to overcome this difficult phase.

Additionally, the campaign delegation visited the Elderly Care Home in Diwaniyah, where they checked on the residents’ conditions, provided support, and presented them with commemorative gifts as a generous initiative from the college administration.
