A collaborative scientific research team has developed an innovative technique to detect and block intrusions delivered through unwanted email messages over the internet. The team, comprising researchers from the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Al-Qadisiyah, the University of Kufa, and Victoria University in Australia, published this technique in a joint scientific paper in the International Journal of Information Technology, a Springer publication ranked in the first quartile of Scopus databases.
The team included Professor Dr. Diaa Al-Shammari and Dr. Zahraa Jafat Alawi from the University of Al-Qadisiyah, Assistant Professor Dr. Salam Hassan Muhaysin and Assistant Professor Dr. Hassanein Al-Yasiri from the University of Kufa, and expert researcher Dr. Ayman Obeida from Victoria University in Australia.
The researchers demonstrated that this innovative technique diagnoses breaches from email messages on the internet by examining and analyzing incoming data using artificial intelligence systems and deep learning techniques, achieving high accuracy rates of up to 99%.
